The Break Up Was Your Fault And Now You Want Your Ex Back

By Christine Akiteng Sometimes you have a great relationship and for some unknown reason you do something really stupid and the person ends up breaking up with you. You cant help kicking yourself, and turning it over and over in your heard, If only I had said this or If only I had done that instead Why did it have to happen? May be at the time you thought that he/she over reacted but after really thinking about it, you can see he/she had a point and must have felt really terrible. Besides you really miss him/her. How do you make those first steps to getting your ex back? If you did something really criminal like cheated on them and or broke up the relationship to explore a relationship with a mutual friend, they may want nothing to do with you. But if what you did is forgivable, they might want to try to give it another shot - some relationships are just meant to be and you will not know if you do not try to find out. But before you go rushing to get your love back you need to do a few things: 1. Really analyze what went wrong. Just making amends by telling him/her you're truly sorry isnt going to do it. You must do whatever you need to do to make sure that you do not repeat your mistakes - and that they can be confident you've changed. 2. Be willing to do whatever it takes, this may include eating a really humble pie. It's always easy to blame your "problems" on someone else. To believe that if he/she wasn't acting in a certain way, your relationship would be great. Wrong. You attracted this person because the two of you are vibrating at the same frequency and in the same direction and your direction may be that of pain and self-destruction. Admit your issues, and like I said resolve them, otherwise you'll get in the cycle of on-again and off-again madness. 3. Try to find out before hand how he/she feels. Observe his/her expressions and body language when around you. If you havent had a chance to meet since the break up and you have mutual friends or you are close to his/her family, ask them if he/she has confided in them whether he/she is open to getting back together. They may even have some ideas for you regarding how you can make the transition easier. However, this is a very risky move especially if the reason you broke up in the first place has to do with trust, or not being open enough. They may see it as you usual sneaky self. Some people try to get back on phone, but a face-to-face meeting is the best approach. You will come across as more sincere if he/she can see your body language. Do not try and make it look like you accidentally bumped into him/her and now want to discuss getting back together. He/she wont take you seriously. Instead ask to see him/her and explain why. If he/she says No-way , at least you have a fair idea that he/she may still be angry at you. Don't be discouraged though. He/she has the right to hurt. We all do. Try contacting him/her again a few weeks after. If he/she still refuses to meet you, chances are they have moved on. Sorry. No need to make a pest of yourself or start acting like a stalker. But if he/she agrees to meet you: 1. Apologize. Go all out to convey how truly sorry you are. Avoid going into a rant and rave about what he/she did to make you do what you did. Its self defeating. Let him/her know how dreadful you feel about the whole issue. 2. Hear him/her out. Let him/her talk about the hurt, the anger, and all the emotions. Dont try to belittle any of them. People have the right to their emotions even if you do not agree. After theyve gotten it out they will most likely feel understood and will be willing later on to hear your side of the story. 3. Promise to start the relationship with a clean slate. Try and set out constructive ideas how you will avoid, at all costs, things ever reaching that state again. Resolve that it will never happen again and work towards it. 4. Woo him/her again. Let him/her know in subtle ways that you will never repeat the mistake. Make the relationship come alive by rekindling the fires. Make him/her feel special. Give him/her many reasons to be deliriously happy. Not many people are that fortunate. Make it work! Weight � It's an EATING Problem

By Rex Reservoir TOO FAT TOO THIN Youve got the same problem! For over 90% of people who have a weight problem, the problem can be directly related to the amount of food you consume. It is no secret that the human body likes to store excess food intake as fat. So if you eat more than you need you are going to pile on those kilos of fat. Conversely if you eat less than you need then your body will not build fat reserves and in extreme cases of too little food intake the body will begin to use up the muscle mass to maintain its primary functions. So be under no illusions that YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT. Well, what can we do about it? TOO THIN
It can be as difficult to gain weight, as it is to lose it. Most people do not recognize this as being a problem. A lot of people will be envious of your dilemma.
Well eat more. It doesnt need to be difficult. Just add a small amount to each meal, dont try to Super Size Me if that is not what you are capable of eating in one sitting. Try to squeeze in an extra snack in the morning and afternoon. Dont think this means stuffing junk down your throat all day long, candy bars, sweet stuff. No, make it good food, some protein and carbohydrates. Try some new foods and flavors. Try different styles of cooking. In fact start to make more of your own stuff. As your interest in creating new and delicious meals increases so will your appreciation of food. Take a class in cooking and entertaining, try to make food something you are interested in. Lets face it we all need food to survive so enjoy it. TO FAT
Eat less and engage in more physical activity. Remember the body stores the food we do not need as fat. Eat too much and pile on the fat cells. More people suffer from being overweight or from easily gaining weight so this is perceived as being a more difficult thing to control. It isnt What you do need is to exercise some self-discipline. In this instance you need to cut out the snacks and reduce the size of your meals. You may need to be more drastic than thin people trying to gain weight. You already enjoy eating, so much in fact that you already eat too much. There is no magic bullet or pill. Try using a smaller plate at mealtime and dont pile it high. Try to eat more protein that carbohydrate. Protein makes you feel fuller for longer. A thick nutritious soup will keep you feeling fuller for longer than a standard meal of the same calorific value. Very important for this group is the need to increase your level of physical activity. Provided your food intake is now at a level slightly below what you need to stay where you are, the increase in physical activity will increase your rate of weight loss. Your body will begin to use up those fat reserves it has been storing. METABOLISM
What about it? Research has shown that metabolism doesnt vary that much. True there are differences but it is not a reason or excuse for either TOO THIN or TOO FAT. So forget about it and put into place an action plan to get you where you want to be. WHAT YOU NEED TO DO

What is a Smart Marketing System?

Well, a Smart marketing system is not really a known term, but rather a term coined by someone who writes marketing books, does seminars and is a consultant in marketing. It makes sense to coin new phrases and new terms and indeed that is in perfect form of someone who does marketing. To me, I believe a Smart marketing system would be one that would be similar to the one that I developed for by franchising company, which I had founded. I called my marketing system; Bonzai and Blitz Marketing. Whereas the marketing consultant and author who wrote about the Smart Marketing System; talks about a hybrid model of marketing which can be applied to be different types of businesses, I am quite confident that the Bonsai and Blitz marketing that I have created in the real world is far superior in every way, yet both methods are superior to what nearly all businesses out there are doing presently. In fact, we proved it when we marketed our franchise system in 23 states, 450 cities and 110 major markets. We attacked the market and targeted the customers and slammed the competition into the carpet so hard that they gave up. Now that is marketing; it is that Smart marketing? Could I call my marketing system a Smart marketing system? Indeed I probably could; but I chose to call it Bonzai and Blitz marketing. What we learned in this scenario when studying various hybrid marketing plans is that different people have found different ways to market and any marketing system that achieves results in the market place is a Smart marketing system. And that means whether it is my Bonzai and Blitz marketing system or the actual branded; Smart Marketing System by a marketing guru and consultant; it is still marketing and creative marketing which puts together multiple marketing methods towards a single message and a single goal for the company. Dating & Religious Beliefs

By Susan Dunn Youre dating and your religious beliefs are different. How much difference does this make? The answer is: Another persons religious beliefs are important to you to the degree they re important to you.
This may sound like begging the question, but its an important thing to get . Assuming youre looking for marriage, you need to make a must have and a cant stand list. If certain religious beliefs go into either group, pay attention to them, because you won t be happy if they arent there (or are and shouldnt be) and the relationship wont work in the long run. Begging the question is what Zen is all about. The koan can mean youre asking a question no one knows the answer to, or that you dont need an answer to, or you know the answer as well as anyone, you just dont know it by reason (which is limited). In the case of religious beliefs, the emotionally intelligent thing to do is to figure out what you want (work with a coach for clarity; its worth it) and then experience the person. Do you mean adherence to a certain set of principals as espoused by a certain faith, such as being Methodist, or Buddhist? Do you need someone to agree with every word you say about it? Or do you believe in certain spiritual principals which could be compatible with various faiths or someone who doesnt attend church at all? Does it matter to you more how the person argues their faith verbally, or how they live it in their daily actions and behaviors? Some religions require only faith; others require certain actions. The Primary Social Dilemma of Our Time

By Rion Williams So what is it? It's the power 'role reversal' of men and women. Is the nation headed down a path of female breadwinners and standby husbands? Don't these men know that something is amiss? Don't they feel ashamed in a way that their woman is leading the family or have they become accustomed to it so much that they don't care? What happened to men of courage and character? Popular society now seems to favor the alpha male archetypes that are dangerous and bravado in their approval of female exploitation such as hip-hop's superstars. Or is that maybe just because few balanced, masculine role models exist in a now female dominated social culture? After all, it is hard for the majority of men to have a role model anymore when they see the beta men on t.v. being saved by their super girlfriends. The polarization is often that if you're not an abusive jerk, you're probably just a nice guy who will succumb to any beautiful woman's whim or desire just to be closer to her. Of course every man is different but we can look at the general overall trends that exist in our behavioral reality now. Do we look at the unique behavior of each man to determine his level of success with women? Does it come down to his different personality and interests? No. That's too variable. We can look at the big picture. The men who are most effective with women and attracting them for physical relationships are guys that essentially weren't conditioned by social influence. They retained their natural ability while the 'nicest' of guys had the MOST social influence and programming. Everyone is blaming everything but the actual root source of these problems in the first place; it's social influence. Since society gave women 'the power', there has been a role reversal. Men became confused with women's behavior at the same time as edifying it. With sexploitation, men become even more influenced by the social powers and don't know how to be comfortable around women anymore because they've built up this perceptual fantasy world about a woman's power. This further put them down the social hierarchy. Over years of programming, countless men started to become weaker and weaker especially in relation to the women they edify. They would withdraw into other outlets to let out this negative sexual transmutation. Pornography, strip parlors, the man show, his garage, poker night, dungeons & dragons, video games, etc. All of these industries that are capitalizing on the new economic reality of exploiting women yet conveniently giving women power at the same time. Millions of women have also fallen into this socio-economic cycle as well. Even those that aren't as affected still take their level of empowerment and freedom for granted unless they feel it's necessary to defend it. Millions of women daily live in a life where they no longer 'need' men. They have become the stimulus and become of the edification of women socially; they now receive all kinds of attention and can reject any man dismissively. No wonder men are distraught with confusion and sometimes depression. You can't tame the shrew but for a moment. A woman who has developed so much has tasted too much of a new reality. You cannot take her back to her natural roots and make her pure again. She is a different creature than man and the only chance is to get her out of the society which (in many ways) has corrupted or empowered her (way beyond man) in the first place. The reality that these women will object to what I just said further proves my point. Do men want to live with this? Do they know what they're getting into by wanting a goddess or diva? Do they know how much of their own power they would have to give up in order to accomodate her? Or had these men already lost it years ago because of this #1 social dilemma? A 50% divorce rate didn't come from nowhere. I'm all for women who add value to other's lives but when men don't understand this behavior and where it comes from, there not going to be able to reach through to her for very long anyways. We cannot give up and let the nation slip into a reality where men have become weak in relation to women. These women are waiting for men to step up and at least be their equal in power. For a man to grow in character is more important than to have quick success with women because it's part of what attracts and keeps women to him anyways. Rule 1: Never Skip Breakfast The old saying that 'breakfast is the most important meal of the day' is certainly on the money when it comes to dieting. Nothing gets our metabolism going faster than breakfast after a good night's sleep. Sleeping causes our metabolism to slow right down and breakfast kick-starts it again for us. But always remember that just as important as having breakfast itself, it's also important to choose healthy breakfast options like wholegrain cereals and breads, low-fat dairy products like milk and yogurt, and fruit or fruit juice. Rule 2: Drink Plenty of Water Drinking plenty of water is critically important when we are dieting. As well as helping to keep us healthy, drinking sufficient amounts of water can help us when dieting because it helps keep us feeling full and stops us from feeling hungry, and when we drink plenty of water we usually drink less soda, coffee and alcohol, all of which can add significant amounts of calories to our daily intake. Once you know these things, you also need to keep track of how many calories you consume each day so that you can compare them to your target and make any necessary adjustments. Water, Diet Sodas And Weight Loss

By Donovan Baldwin What on earth does water have to do with weight loss? Actually, a lot more than you previously imagined. Are you aware that some studies have shown that your brain cannot distinguish between hunger and thirst? Sometimes when your body is telling you that you are thirsty, your brain may be hearing that you are hungry. So what do you do? You put food in your mouth when a glass of water might have been sufficient. Most food has calories, most water doesn't. Simple equation. 'Nuff said on that topic. By the way, ever wake up in the middle of the night and crave a snack? Nine times out of ten, a glass of water will do the trick. I know, I didn't believe it either until I tried it. It really works! Tissue, muscle, cells, even blood are all comprised to a large per cent of water. When your brain starts getting signals that water is needed...well, remember the confusion factor mentioned above? We eat something instead of giving our body what it really craves and needs! Your entire body works much better, by the way, when the fluid levels are kept up where they need to be. BUT I DRINK LOTS OF LIQUID AND STILL GAIN WEIGHT! Sure you do, but what KIND of liquid. I won't even talk about sodas, coffee, or tea sweetened with sugar. I'm going to assume that you already know that sugar is not the way to go if you want to lose weight, but what about the artificially sweetened drinks? Did you know... ARTIFICIAL SWEETENERS CAN CAUSE YOU TO GAIN WEIGHT? Some studies have shown that using artificial sweeteners can contribute to weight gain in at least two ways. First, there is the confusion factor. When you use artificial sweeteners, you, and your brain, become confused about the calorie content of the food you eat. You may actually find yourself eating more in an effort to satisfy an internal urge or interpretation, and this urge may be related to the assumed "fact" that the sweet soda you just drank didn't have that many calories, so neither does this cinnamon roll. Actually, before artificial sweeteners, our bodies and brains were pretty good at relating calorie content to food based on the sweetness. A WORD FOR PARENTS! Our bodies' understanding of "sweetness" and the development of the internal calorie estimating apparatus mentioned above apparently occurs in childhood. Early use of artificial sweeteners could cause the grown-up years later to ingest more of sweet foods than they should. The second way in which artificial sweeteners may contribute to weight gain is what could be called... THE SUGAR TRAP! Your body is a complicated device which has developed a huge number of inter-related, synergistic, stimulus sensing and automatic response mechanisms. It has learned to begin things happening inside when something sweet is detected. The digestive system is prepared to receive a certain type of fuel...which it welcomes! When you ingest food or drink which has been artificially sweetened, all your little hormones, glands, cells, and systems begin asking, "What's going on?" Like prisoners in an old movie, they start rattling their tin cups and yelling out, "FEED ME!" Oh yeah, that was the plant in "Little Shop Of Horrors", wasn't it? Anyway, your internal messengers are now not very happy, nor will they be until you send down some calories for them to munch on. See the trap? It reminds me of when I managed a restaurant when people would order a salad and diet drink and then smother the salad in high-calorie, high-fat dressing and have ice cream for dessert. Get the picture. WAIT! IT MIGHT EVEN BE WORSE! Artificial sweeteners are much sweeter than ordinary sugar, and that's why you can sweeten a cup of coffee with one little white pill. However, there are some studies which indicate that artificial sweeteners become somewhat addictive. If that isn't bad enough, this brings us to one of the most popular drugs in America... CAFFEINE Even though a lot of people who want to lose weight are drinking artificially sweetened drinks, a lot of these drinks - coffee, tea, sodas - contain caffeine. Caffeine is a diuretic. It dehydrates you, causing your body to lose water. Remember, water = good. When you are dehydrated, low on internal liquid, your metabolism slows down. This means your body gets by on fewer calories and stores the rest as fat. Think it through: You get dehydrated, you get thirsty. You just drank a cup of tea, coffee, or soda, so you can't be thirsty, can you? Since your brain can't really tell the difference between hunger and thirst signals, it tells you to eat something when all that's really going on is that you need a drink of water. SO WHAT CAN YOU DO? 1. Substitute water for most of the other stuff you're drinking. 2. "Buy" your artificially sweetened drinks. My wife came up with this idea, but I have seen it used in other contexts as well. If you drink an artificially sweetened drink and/or one with caffeine, buy it back with at least an equivalent sized drink of water. Eight ounces of coffee? Follow it with eight ounces of water. 3. Is water boring for you? Then try flavoring your water with lemon or something else. Use herbal teas that have their own flavor and might not even need to be sweetened. 4. Include soups and juices in your diet. These are high liquid content. Just be aware that while nutritionally better for you than diet drinks or drinks with caffeine, they DO contain calories. 5. Can't do without sweetened drinks? Try stevia. This is a natural food additive available online and at most health food stores. While it has a sweetening effect, the FDA does not allow it to be called or marketed as a sweetener. Due to its chemical makeup, it does not seem to produce the cravings for more food as do other non-sugar sweeteners. I read that in a book, but I tried Stevia and that's how it worked for me. I was drinking four to eight cups of coffee sweetened with artificial sweeteners a day, and munching tons of snacks as I drank the coffee! Royal Flush The best hand you can possibly have. It's very rare and you generally only ever see them in TV programs or Hollywood movies. One Pair A pair is obviously where you simply have a pair of the same number (and three random cards) with the higher pair winning in the case of a tie. A Disastrous Date Leads to Success!

By Mike A. Thorpe Sometimes a date doesn't go well. But just because there's a problem of some kind doesn't mean you can't get a 'result' from the date. You know what I mean by 'result', don't you? I had a date a couple of months ago that went unbelievably wrong, but turned out right in the end. I met my date for the first time in the car park of a country pub. I followed my usual strategy for greeting a woman to set the right 'tone' for the date. As you can see from page 158 of my e-book 'Online Dating Tips For Men', if you can get things onto a flirty/sexy tone from the start, then your chances of success are very much magnified. The pub was nice, but very busy. There was only one table free where we could sit, and that was right up against a larger table where a party of four were eating. Anyway, I ordered drinks and we sat down and started chatting. Things were going well. Then, almost subconsciously, I noticed something odd. Whenever I started to speak, a voice at the next table started too, quite loudly. So, without diverting more than a little of my attention from my date (which is always a big mistake), I listened to the rather booming voice from the table next to us. Indeed, what was happening was that a large, jowly man, with a nose red-tipped probably from years of drinking port wine, was COMMENTING on everything I was saying! He was clearly the host of his party, with a dominating character that was almost bullying his guests into paying attention to him. They laughed politely at his snide comments, but without enthusiasm. At this point, my date realized what was going on too. We moved in close so we could whisper to each other. We decided not to make a fuss, which whether or not it shut the guy up would have set a bad tone for the rest of the date. And I was quite happy to move in close and talk quietly with my date. In fact I couldn't have been happier because, as explained on page 162 of 'Online Dating Tips For Men', talking quietly and closely is one of the best ways of establishing rapport and intimacy. Unfortunately even though our rude neighbor couldn't hear us, he kept commenting about us and speculating about what we might be talking about. 'Lovers canoodling' was how he described us at one point! Clearly this was an uncomfortable situation, but I was actually benefiting from it as I was getting closer to my date, and we were sharing this difficult experience. The rapport was becoming intense and we started touching hands. Eventually the large guy went quiet, but that was quite irrelevant as my date and I were in our own private bubble of intimacy. In short, it was a fantastic first date and set exactly the right tone for us to progress to the second! There are lots of things that can go wrong in a date that are beyond control. But often that can result in a rapport and bond being established much more quickly than would otherwise be the
